Help and contact

The fastest way to reach a person is email: info@dilinga.com. We answer in English and Turkish.

Reporting a call or translation problem? Tell us the date and rough time of the call, which two languages were involved, the phone and OS version, and your Dilinga ID (Settings). That is usually enough to find it in the diagnostics.

Common questions

Is Dilinga available yet?

It is still in development. Write to us and we will tell you the day it opens on the App Store and Google Play.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no password. The app creates an identifier on your device and gives you a short Dilinga ID other people can use to add you.

Which languages does it support?

Translation covers the major world languages. Speech recognition and spoken output depend on what your phone and our speech provider support for a given language, so a few languages are text-only.

Does the other person need Dilinga?

For chats and calls inside the app, yes — both sides use Dilinga. Camera translation and the translation screen work on their own.

Is the call audio sent to a server?

The call itself runs through a real-time calling service, as any video call does. For translation, speech is recognised on your own device and only the resulting text is sent to be translated.

Can I use it without a connection?

Parts of it. Some text recognition runs on the device, but live translation needs a connection.

How do I delete my data?

See Delete your data.

My call sounded wrong or nothing was translated.

Check that Dilinga has microphone and speech recognition permission, and that the language you have set matches what you are actually speaking. If it still happens, email us with the details above.
